Morning Everyone!
I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!
This week I thought I would give you a little did you know blurb about veggies
DID YOU KNOW:
You can use cucumbers as erasers! Made a Mistake with your pen? Do not fear if you have a cucumber in your fridge!
The Veggie skins have the most nutrients. Most people would peel off their veggie skins but apparently that is where most of the nutrients are stored! This of course relates more to the organic veggies as there’s no pesticides!
Onions are super healthy! I know most people shy away from eating onions as they can make your breath smell. If you one of those people I suggest you reconsider your life choice! They have a source of biotin which is great for hair and skin! The chromium in them helps to regulate the blood sugar, and the sulphur also helps lower the blood sugar by increasing the production of insulin.
Swiss chard(Spinach) is a nutritional powerhouse - an excellent source of vitamins K, A, and C, as well as a good source of magnesium, potassium, iron, and dietary fibre.
Broccoli contains more protein then steak -since it doesn’t come with all those saturated and trans fats or cholesterol, you can get all the protein you need with a significantly lower risk of cardiovascular disease.
Hope you enjoyed some of those rather interesting!
This week we thought we would do a Chicken, Leek and Bacon casserole as our weekly recipe! It is a lovely dinner idea that everyone will thoroughly enjoy!!

There is still lots of work to go through! So as always, your patience yet again will be appreciated as they get back into the swing of things!
In this cold you need to cook something that’s going to make you warm! What better way to keep yourself warm then with a cauliflower curry! That will defiantly be keeping all parts of you warm! It seems like a lovely supper idea! It won’t take you long and it will taste delicious!! ... See MoreSee Less

Lots of excitement non the farm this past weekend as a new combine was delivered so you can just imagine how crazy all the boys here went! For those of you who are not quite sure what that is.. it is basically a grain harvester. .
But now back to the cooking and recipe side of the VegBox. I am aware that it is school holidays and it might be hard for the moms and dads out there to always have to cook for their children especially when they are young. So why not make some easy pork sausage rolls! You can bake a few and keep them aside for whenever the kids are hungry or feel like a snack. Even for yourself! It is also a great snack for the kids lunch box when they go back to school! Just click on the link and you’ll have the recipe to do as you please with! ... See MoreSee Less
